Lydia and Matt’s story began in Seattle, Washington, where a friendship slowly turned into something more. In January 2023, they started going on dates, and by March—after several sushi dates at some of Seattle’s best spots—Matt made it official. What started as easy companionship quickly grew into a deep connection built on trust, laughter, and a genuine love of being together.

Over the next couple of years, Seattle became the backdrop for some of their favorite memories together—whether skiing in the winter, exploring the city and Pacific Northwest, or just trying out as many restaurants around town as they could, they fell into an easy rhythm of adventure, laughter, and supporting one another through both highs and challenging but critical moments that brought them closer together.

Their love culminated in a perfect proposal planned by Matt in Sorrento, Italy, atop Monte San Costanzo Termini on the Amalfi Coast. After saying yes, they wandered the streets, explored art shops, met locals, and indulged in Italian pastries and espresso.
